The Bay Bridge at Dusk

The Bay Bridge is gorgeous from all views as it spans the San Francisco side of the Bay to Yerba Buena Island.

Iraq Body

Wanted to share a piece of art that I first saw at the Alliance Franciase Art Show in February 2007 and the artist that captured my attention from that show was Jo Ward. She had a series of three abstract sketches that she drew after reading newspaper articles. She then used the news article for her canvas. "Iraq Body" was the piece that drove waves of intense emotions through me as I viewed the detail of death in this piece. Jo Ward's artist statement began with: "My work evolves from the question: How does it feel to be an individual within Society?" She has captured the individual and she allowed us to know them with her passionate work, especially her piece "Iraq Body".

I proudly now own this piece of work and share it here with you today.

The Armory

The Armory is now home to Kink.com, also known as Armory Studios LLC, owned by Peter Acworth.

Much disputing is going on with the studios making The Armory home base. And yes, adult movies will be filmed there, as well as other movies, but what will go on and be filmed behind The Armory's 4 foot thick walls will not be seen by people passing down the street. So why is everyone upset? There was no support by the community for a housing community there and the building stood empty for over 30 years. Prostitutes, Vagrants and Needle Users polluted that area. Not once did I hear or see protests over that. But now that The Armory was purchased and will house movie productions, some with hard core sex, everyone wants to scream--"Oh the children". Being a neighbor of The Armory and living in the Inner Mission, I witness crime on Mission and Valencia street daily--from movie piracy vendors to drug dealers. Those movie piracy vendors should read this article, for they are lookin' at a few years behind bars.

So please, please stop the insanity of your children being affected by the new ownership of The Armory, for there is so much crime that is blatant in the Inner Mission that we need to focus on the real problems, not create new ones just because they're an easy target.

Plus, as anyone can see in this picture that the school bus windows do not allow our children to peer into the windows of The Armory. All is good.

Sunny Day Brings Making Out

While waiting at a red light on Valencia and 20th, I looked over to see a couple kissing. What a great kiss they were giving each other. Just wanted to share that Sunny Day Spirit I came across today in San Francisco!

Emporium Dome and Pillars

The beautiful Dome of the Emporium was kept during the renovation and now a comfortable sitting area is below it for all that enter the Emporium and would like to relax a moment. See Gallery for the photograph.
