SAN FRANCISCO GUILD OF THE ARTS PRESENTS “BE MINE” ART SHOW
WITH 7 FEMALE SAN FRANCISCO ARTISTS AT LIVE WORMS GALLERY,

OPENING IS FRIDAY, 6 FEBRUARY 2009, FROM 7 PM TO 10 PM
SAN FRANCISCO, 5 - 7 FEBRUARY 2009: San Francisco Guild of the Arts presents “Be Mine” Art Showat Live Worms Gallery, 1345 Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133. The Art Show Opening is Friday, 6 February 2009, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Live Worms will have gallery hours for this Art Show on Thursday, 5 February 2009, from 7 pm to 10 pm and on Friday and Saturday, 6 & 7 February 2009, from 10 am to 10 pm. The Public is Welcome.
About the 6 Female San Francisco Artists:
ELIZABETH ASHCROFT has exhibited her work extensively in group and solo shows primarily as an integral member of the North Beach arts community. She works in a variety of media from ephemeral tape transfer collages, detailed architectural pencil drawings to vibrant acrylic paintings with both realistic and abstract themes.
MAEVE CROGHAN is an expressionist nature painter with a unique interpretation of the traditional subject of nature painting. She paints from a spiritual connection with energetic color filled paintings. Her paintings have been the recipient of prestigious juried awards and are shown in galleries nation
wide with worldwide collectors.
NANCY FEDERICE explores rich textures and surfaces through a warm, earthy palette with her striking abstract paintings. Her work is shown in galleries throughout the Bay Area.
IRENE HENDRICK paints portrait figures of life in 1940’s London radiate with a hope and tenderness that give these works a distinct poignancy. Each painting has a flash of her signature red, a symbol of hope in a wash of musted colors.
KATHLEEN McMAHON is a painter that draws inspiration from the Northern California landscape. She uses oils and works in a style that distills the California landscape to the elements of horizon, geometry, textures and iconic images and incorporates encaustics (painting with pigmented hot wax) into her process. Kathleen is founder of CraftWEB.com, author of the book, "In Search of Arts & Crafts

ZABRINA TIPTON is a published photographer that works in 35mm, slide and large format digital. She is best known in San Francisco as The City’s Nightscape photographer and her fine art is exhibited throughout The City. She is the photographer for The SF Playhouse and the San Francisco Design Center, and the founder of San Francisco Guild of the Arts and a photography studio proprietor. www.zabrinatipton.com
